Hi, I’m Heidi—an English woman based in the beautiful South West of England, standing on the edge of a brand new chapter as I approach the big 5-0 (gracefully… most of the time).

I’m a proud mum to a grown-up daughter who has flown the nest, leaving me at home with my little half-pug—who, for the record, is not pulling his weight financially. So yes, I’ve officially entered the “empty nester” phase… although I’m still doing all the washing.

This website was born from that very moment—when you suddenly realise you have a bit more time, a bit more freedom, and absolutely no excuse not to finally book that trip you’ve been talking about for years.I’ve always loved travel, and now feels like the perfect time to lean into it. Here, I’ll be sharing travel tips, ideas, and inspiration—from must-visit destinations and hidden gems, to insights from tourist boards, award-winning spots, and hotels that are actually worth the hype (and your hard-earned money).

But more than anything, this space is about encouragement—with a gentle nudge (or a firm shove, depending on the day).
